We went to a Mariners game

I got a pair of free tickets from work to the Aug. 10 Mariners game.  David isn't a big fan of watching sports so even with free tickets it was a tough sell.  We went to a friend's going away party first (miss you Megan) and ended up at the game in the 7th inning (and yes, we heard about how late we were from everyone sitting near us.)

Ken Griffey Jr. was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame before the game started so the stadium was sold out.

We had good seats between home plate and third base on the first level.  However, our eyes kept wandering to the TV screens right above us instead of watching the game happening on the field?!?  The M's had a tough, long 7th inning but we stuck it out one more inning and then left at the top of the ninth.

It's too bad our one and only sports watching event couldn't have been a little more exciting for the home team.

Final score: Mariners-0 Brewers-10.
