We saw the musical Sister Act, "pasta bowl" style

Friday, August 23

Sister Act the musical was in Seattle for a week.  Our friends the Sine's suggested we go check it out.  Ruth said she thought we could even get tickets for free.  Free?  We're definitely in.  When we got to the theater, the husbands dropped us off and they went looking for a parking spot.

I started walking over to the box office, assuming that's where the tickets were, but Ruth stopped me.

She and Jared lived in New York for a couple years and learned a few tricks when going to the theater.  Trick #1, the "Pasta Bowl".  Here's how it went down.  Ruth stood in front of the box office and in the sweetest voice, just loud enough for a small crowd to hear asked, "Does anyone have any extra tickets?"  And sure enough after 30 minutes she had 3 free tickets!  We bought one ticket and got even luckier when the usher noticed we weren't sitting together and showed us to an empty row on the main level.

While we were working hard saving a few dollars on tickets, the guys informed us they parked the car valet at the Hyatt...of course they did.

Thanks for the fun date night Ruth and Jared!  We're up for another pasta bowl anytime.
